Catamaran Mentor Workshops
Learn. Plan. Buy.

Next Workshop, July 2026: Limited to 10 Households

Don’t waste $50K–$150K — and 12–24 months of your life — on the wrong catamaran.

Buying a used catamaran is not just choosing a hull. It is taking on engines, rigging, sails, electronics, batteries, plumbing, refrigeration, safety gear, contracts, survey risk, and years of refit decisions.

These practical live workshops are designed to help future catamaran owners better understand the journey from dream to ownership, assess listings earlier, understand refit risk, compare boats properly, and avoid expensive mistakes before they fly, survey, or make an offer.

Most buyers rely on glossy listings and a final survey. But some of the biggest risks — and costs — need to be understood much earlier.

Learn the assessment process I use on my Catamaran Mentor clients through small-group workshops that are interactive, practical and tailored to attendees.

🚀 The Ultimate Catamaran Buyers Guide – No Fluff, Just Insider Knowledge!

Buying a catamaran is a huge investment, and one wrong move can cost you tens or even hundreds of thousands. That’s why I created the Catamaran Buyers Guide—a straight-to-the-point resource to help you make smarter decisions and avoid costly mistakes.

Inside, I share insights you won’t find anywhere else:
✔ The “Goldilocks Zones” – The best (and worst) boat ages to buy.
✔ Where to buy – The top locations for deals and challenges.
✔ How to handle brokers – Get the truth, not the sales pitch.
✔ Hidden maintenance traps – Spot costly refits before you spend on travel and surveys.

✔ And much much more

This isn’t just another sales gimmick—it’s the best complimentary resource in the world for serious catamaran buyers.

 Buyer Representation

Independent, conflict-free support from shortlist to early ownership

This service is for buyers actively shopping for a catamaran who want proper buyer-side representation — not sales pressure, fragmented advice, or commission-driven opinions.

I work alongside you throughout the buying process, from choosing the right model to negotiating the deal, interpreting surveys, planning refits, and settling into ownership.

What’s included

  • Model selection & suitability
Matching catamaran models and layouts to your sailing plans, crew, budget, and risk tolerance — including avoiding known problem designs and ageing traps.

  • Budgeting & ownership planning
Purchase budgeting, refit timing and costs, and realistic expectations of ongoing ownership and cruising expenses.

  • Active search & assessment
Shortlisting and comparison spreadsheet tools supplied, listing analysis beyond marketing photos, and identifying genuine value versus cosmetic presentation.

  • Broker & seller engagement
Direct engagement with brokers and sellers to clarify vessel history, refits, and onboard equipment, and to negotiate pricing and terms on the buyer’s behalf, based on condition, refit risk, timing, and market reality.

  • Offers, contracts & using an escrow (buyer-side)
Reviewing offer structure and key clauses, flagging risks and assumptions, and providing independent buyer guidance (not legal representation).

  • Survey & refit assessment
Interpreting survey findings, separating critical issues from noise, and advising what to fix now, later, or not at all.

  • Post-purchase & early cruising support
Refit prioritisation and practical guidance through the first months of ownership to reduce surprises and stress.

How it works

This service is offered on a monthly retainer because real value comes from ongoing involvement — not one-off calls.

Active buyers need listing reviews, pricing guidance, negotiation strategy, refit advice, and fast answers at the right moments.

A retainer keeps advice proactive, independent, and focused on protecting your capital — often saving buyers tens of thousands by removing sales pressure and emotional decision-making.
