Catamaran Mentor Workshops

Next Workshop: July 16th 7.30pm EDT: Limited to 10 Households

Don't waste $50K–$150K — and 12–24 months of your life — on the wrong catamaran.

Buying a used catamaran is not just choosing a hull. It is taking on engines, rigging, sails, electronics, batteries, plumbing, refrigeration, safety gear, contracts, survey risk, and years of refit decisions.

Most buyers rely on glossy listings and a final survey. But the biggest risks and costs need to be understood much earlier — before you fly, make an offer, or commission a survey.

These small-group live online workshops are practical, interactive and tailored to attendees. They are designed to help future catamaran owners assess listings earlier, understand refit risk, compare boats properly, and avoid expensive mistakes — using the same assessment process I use with my Catamaran Mentor clients.

Compass on map

Most catamaran buyers start their search online. They browse listings, read forums, and maybe talk to a broker. By the time they realise what they don't know, they're already emotionally committed — or writing a cheque.

This guide covers what most buyers miss early: the Goldilocks Zones for boat age and refit cycles, where to buy and what each location means for price and logistics, how broker commissions shape what you get shown, and the hidden maintenance traps that turn a good-looking listing into a two-year refit project.

No sales pitch. Just the same starting framework I use with my advisory clients.
